How to Stop Instagram Deepfakes of Your Existing Images and Audio
Earlier this week Meta launched a tool called Muse Image. This new tool allows you to make AI edits of your image and audio content. It has features that has some ideas for you that might feel funny or creative.
The problem is that if your instagram profile is public in nature then (as of the publishing of this post) you are automatically opted-in to another feature that allows OTHER PEOPLE to use this tool on YOUR CONTENT.
What could go wrong?
Meta is already working on a video version of this same technology called Muse Video.
You will want to go ahead and follow the steps in this 78 second video to turn these settings off if you have a public instagram profile (skip to 52 seconds if you just want the no context tutorial):
